Mustafa Al-Momani – Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, the Faculty organized a ceremony today to honor 84 students from various faculties of the University of Jordan who have memorized the Holy Quran. These students, representing diverse nationalities, have received certificates in memorizing the Book of God Almighty.
This ceremony reflects the Faculty of Sharia's commitment to highlighting outstanding students and recognizing the efforts of those who have memorized the Holy Quran, demonstrating their ability to combine academic excellence with distinction in memorizing the Holy Book. This embodies the Faculty's academic and educational mission and its role in instilling Quranic and ethical values within the university environment.
During his speech, Al-Kilani emphasized that the Faculty of Sharia gives special attention to its distinguished students and continuously strives to support and encourage them. He pointed out that memorizing the Holy Quran forms a solid foundation for building a balanced and conscious personality, capable of contributing positively to society and upholding authentic Islamic values that strengthen Jordan's security and stability, and call for diligent work to preserve its achievements, strength, and progress.
He added that this honor reflects the University of Jordan's mission to prepare a generation that combines knowledge and ethics, embodying the civilized model of a university student capable of representing their religion and country in the best possible way.
For her part, Dr. Israa Al-Momani, Assistant Dean for Student and Graduate Affairs, indicated that this ceremony is part of a series of activities implemented by the Faculty to support distinguished students. She stressed the importance of motivating those who have memorized the Holy Quran, highlighting their status, and enhancing their presence in the academic and cultural landscape of the university.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the students who had memorized the Quran were honored amidst an atmosphere of pride and appreciation for their efforts in memorizing the Book of God Almighty, encouraging them to continue their academic and missionary journey, and motivating their peers to strive and exert themselves to attain this great reward, in service to their religion, their country, and their community.
