An academic from the University of Jordan participates in the International Islamic Fiqh Academy conference in Doha

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan, is participating in the 26th session of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Conference, an affiliate of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The conference is being held in Doha, Qatar, from May 4 to 8, 2025, under the auspices of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the State of Qatar.

This session is part of the Academy's efforts to promote collective ijtihad and discuss contemporary jurisprudential issues of concern to Islamic societies, with the participation of a select group of scholars, jurists, and experts from around the world.

The current session of the conference will address a number of contemporary jurisprudential, economic, and medical topics. It will also issue a set of legal decisions and recommendations aimed at providing jurisprudential solutions to current challenges.

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy is a leading scholarly authority in the field of contemporary collective ijtihad. Its members meet annually from across the Islamic world to study new developments and provide legal solutions based on a collective scientific approach.​
