Exchange scientific visits between The University of Jordan and University of Brawijaya

Suha Al-Subaihi - As part of the excellent academic relations between the University of Jordan and higher education institutions in Indonesia, Dr. Muneer Maher Al-Shater, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Sharia for International Accreditation and Graduate Affairs at the University of Jordan, participated in a scientific visit to the University of Brawijaya, which is ranked among the top ten universities in Indonesia.

The visit came in response to an official invitation from the University of  Brawijaya, where Dr. Al-Shater assumed the duties of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, and provided a series of distinguished academic contributions, including participation as a keynote speaker in an academic conference on developing the prospects of Islamic economy and finance, in the presence of a group of researchers and representatives of government and academic institutions in Indonesia, where he was honored in recognition of his academic contributions.

Dr. Al-Shater also conducted an intensive training program for master's students in economics and finance, most of whom work in the government sector, focusing on modern scientific research methods and their practical applications, which lasted for three days. The visit also included providing academic consultations to develop master's programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Brawijaya, focusing on improving the quality of scientific research and standards of academic excellence.

This visit comes as part of the university's efforts to enhance its international presence and strengthen academic cooperation with international universities, based on the bilateral agreements between Jordan and Indonesia that aim to exchange experiences and promote joint scientific research.

It is worth noting that relations between the University of Jordan and higher education institutions in Indonesia have witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, through the signing of memorandums of understanding to enhance student and academic exchanges and increase scholarship opportunities in several fields.​
