B.A Jurisprudence and its Foundations / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes:

After completing the requirements for the bachelor's degree in Jurisprudence and its foundations, students are expected to be able to:

  1. To be characterized by a deep faith in God and His Messenger and shows a clear commitment to the teachings of Islam so that this is reflected in his personality, behavior, aspects and dealings.
  2. To master the recitation of the Holy Qur'an according to the rules of recitation, and memorize a number of parts.
  3. To use the sources of legislation of all types and infer legal rulings with appropriate evidence from scripture and reason.
  4. To show familiarity with the sections of the legal ruling and its sources from the legal evidence and to demonstrate a deep understanding of the reality of ijtihad, the conditions of the mujtahid and mufti, contemporary jurisprudential developments and ways of dealing with them.
  5. To demonstrate the foundations of Islamic theology and what is related to it.
  6. To be able to analyze and discuss objectively the most important issues of theology and the ways of establishing them.
  7. To analyze and compare the major monotheistic religions in terms of their doctrines and scriptures.
  8. To explain and analyze the events of the Prophet's biography, pointing out the lessons from it.
  9. To communicate effectively with others and works well as part of a team, based on the basic principles of Islamic ethics that call for understanding and consideration of others and accepting and discussing dissenting opinions.
  10. To demonstrate an interest in continuous learning and professional growth and is committed to acquiring and generating new knowledge and skills using technology and databases effectively.
  11. To carry out their responsibilities as required by the nature of their work, and to balance the issues as a part of serving the nation and developing society.
  12. To employ higher order thinking skills, critical and creative thinking in investigating and solving research issues related to jurisprudence and its foundations.
