Dr. Mounir Maher Al-Shater, full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia - Department of Islamic Banking, won the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers and Scholars 2023 in the field of economic and administrative sciences on the topic of financial digital transformation.
Al-Shater won the Economic and Administrative Sciences Award for his research and scientific career in the field of financial technology and digital transformation. Al-Shater presented many researches and studies in this field, which contributed to its development and enhancement.
During the honoring ceremony organized by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Azmi Muhafza, on behalf of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, sponsored the ceremony honoring the award winners.
Al-Shater expressed his overwhelming happiness at winning the award, considering it a great achievement for him, the University of Jordan, and his country, Jordan. Al-Shater said that the award will push him to continue his research career and make more contributions in the field of Islamic finance, financial technology and digital transformation.
Al-Shater added that the award reflects the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation’s interest in scientific research and its advancement in the Arab world.
It is noteworthy that the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers and Scientists is a prestigious annual award given to the best researchers and research works in the fields of humanities, social sciences, basic sciences, and applied sciences.
