Dr. Omama Hamasha from the School of Sharia receives the Chevening Fellowship in Oxford, UK for the year 2024.

Dr. Omama Imad Hamasha, one of only three researchers globally, has been selected to receive a Chevening Fellowship, a research fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) for the year 2024.  The Chevening OCIS Fellowship is a valuable opportunity for scholars in Islamic studies, as the prestigious research program attracts scholars to undertake advanced research and in-depth studies in the field. The program is funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the prestigious University of Oxford.  Dr. Hamasha holds a PhD in Hadith and Islamic Studies from the University of Birmingham.  Dr. Hamasha's selection for this scientific fellowship is an important achievement that reflects her status as a researcher in Islamic studies at the local and international levels.
