Master in Islamic Theology / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes:

After completing the requirements for the master's degree in Islamic Theology, the student is expected to be able to:

  1. Have a deep faith in God and His Messenger and show a clear commitment to the teachings of Islam so that this is reflected in his personality, behavior, and dealings.
  2. Possess a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the origins and characteristics of divine and man-made religions, and the details of the information related to them.
  3. To be able to present and discuss matters of theology clearly and smoothly and is able to understand the reasons for the establishment of Islamic sects and the many schools of thought.
  4. To compare religions in terms of their origins, principles, and foundations, and analyzes the valid sources used for religions and sects.
  5. To have a dialogue objectively with adherents of other religions and dissenting sects in the best way, based on clear and convincing evidence.
  6. Expresses an in-depth and objective opinion on contemporary theological issues and their implications, demonstrating the ability to respond to doubts raised about the Islamic belief.
  7. Communicate effectively and competently with others, especially those who disagree with him, and work well within a team based on the general Islamic principles that call for understanding and cooperation for good.
  8. Employs research methodologies and the tools derived from them in preparing his/her thesis and preparing different types of research related to Islamic theology.
  9. Bear the responsibilities required by the nature of his work, balance the issues, and play his role in serving the nation and developing society through practical programs and lectures that he works to implement. 
  10. To show an interest in continuous professional learning and growth and demonstrates a commitment to acquiring and generating new knowledge and skills using technology and databases effectively.
