Ph.D in Hadith / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes:

After completing the requirements for the PhD degree in Hadith, the student is expected to be able to:

  1. Have a deep faith in God and His Messenger and show a clear commitment to the teachings of Islam so that this is reflected in his personality, behavior, and dealings.
  2. To demonstrate a deep understanding of the basic knowledge in the sciences of Hadith, and to be familiar with its subtle branches and sub-issues, including the ability to examine hadiths that are disputed.
  3. To analyze in depth and objectively discuss the reasons for the different approaches of scholars in their classification and treatment of scientific issues in the science of hadith.
  4. To respond with depth and confidence to the doubts that have been raised in the past and continue to be raised today against the science of hadith in its many branches, including the challenge of narratives and their inappropriateness to modern intellectual traditions.
  5. To analyze the difference between the rational school and the traditional school in the study of hadith and compare them in terms of their origins and development.
  6. To demonstrate a serious commitment to continuous learning, deepening and developing his knowledge and abilities, and shows a clear interest in innovation that is disciplined by scientific guidelines, and improves the use of hadith encyclopedias.
  7. Communicate effectively and competently with others, especially those who disagree with him, and work well within a team based on the general Islamic principles that call for understanding and cooperation for good.
  8. To conduct original research in investigating issues related to Hadith sciences in preparing his thesis, and in publishing solid research that includes scientific addition in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  9. To contribute to the planning, preparation and revision of curricula in Islamic education subjects using different models of design in light of the theoretical frameworks of the curricula and the objectives of the stage education.
