The Faculty of Sharia discusses the future and prospects of the cooperation agreement with the Singaporean Council.

Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, participated in a consultative scientific meeting in Singapore on February 1, 2024, at the invitation of the Islamic Scientific Council and His Eminence the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Singapore. The meeting discussed a cooperation agreement between the Council and the University of Jordan to implement a certificate program in Islamic Studies in Contemporary Societies. The program's objectives, learning outcomes, and target student group were discussed. This program, implemented by the Faculty of Sharia in partnership with the Islamic Council of Singapore, is a result of the University of Jordan's prestigious international academic standing and reputation, the programs offered by the Faculty of Sharia, and its distinguished academic, research, and scientific expertise. The Faculty is characterized by its global academic reputation, its emphasis on moderation, diversity, openness, and curricula based on critical thinking, dialogue, analysis, comparison, and respect for differing opinions. At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees thanked the University and the Faculty of Sharia for their fruitful and successful cooperation and expressed their desire to continue the partnership. Representatives from the Faculty of Sharia were also present at the meeting. Dr. Alaa El-Din Adawi, Head of the Department of Fundamentals of Religion at the College, participated in answering inquiries and comments. The attendees and the Dean welcomed the international and global partnerships for implementing academic programs, and the promising future prospects they hold for promoting the university globally.​
